Scalable cooling system built for AI data centers, and everywhere else heat has value.
Darby Renewables integrates direct-to-chip liquid cooling, controlled air cooling, dew-point humidity control, and water and energy recovery into a single system. Purpose-built for next-generation AI and high-density data centers, the same platform brings a more efficient, sustainable, and economically attractive cooling solution to agriculture, greenhouses, and other industrial applications.
One integrated system, five connected stages.
Heat and water move through the system in a continuous loop, captured at the chip, conditioned in the rack, and recovered before anything is lost outdoors.

Direct-to-chip cooling
Water routes straight to CPUs and GPUs, pulling heat at the source before it reaches the data hall.
Controlled air cooling
Remaining heat from cables, power electronics, and networking gear passes through the Darby Hybrid Heat Exchanger.
Dew-point humidity control
Air is conditioned near the dew point, removing excess humidity and stabilizing conditions in the hall.
Less water. Less power. Nothing wasted.
- 80–85% of heat removed through liquid cooling, far more efficient than air-only systems at high density.
- Supports racks exceeding 100 kW, built for AI and high-performance computing loads.
- Recovers water instead of losing it to cooling towers and evaporative systems.
- Turns waste heat into a reusable resource rather than rejecting it outdoors.
- Reduces dependence on air-cooled chillers and cooling towers, lowering operating complexity and cost.
The same system, more uses.
This technology also increases the efficiency of PV solar systems and produces usable water for irrigation and agriculture, with additional applications in energy storage, concentrated solar, carbon capture, and biomass boilers for greenhouse heating.
Five decades of hands-on thermal and mechanical work, engineered into one system.
Brian Darby spent 55+ years in the plumbing and mechanical trades before founding Darby Renewables. A Red Seal certified Steamfitter, his hands-on, systems-first approach to thermal engineering now drives the team developing this patented cooling technology for the next generation of computing.
